ARRIVE SWITZERLAND BORDER - DAVOS
Arrival by public transport from your starting point in Switzerland to Davos Platz. Ride the funicular to the top of Schatzalp mountain where your hotel is located at 1,861m. Spend the afternoon explore all around the winter walking trails. Overnight in Davos.
DAVOS
Descent by funicular or toboggan (small suppl. applies) to the highest town in Europe, Davos. Browse the many art galleries, cafés, and shops or head for the winter sports areas surrounding Davos. Enjoy a 1-hour horse-drawn sleigh ride in one of the magical valleys nearby. Overnight stay in Davos.
DAVOS - MONTREUX : GLACIER EXPRESS
Travel by regional train from Davos to Filisur. Then board the Glacier Express from Filisur to Brig and experience the most scenic yet breath taking views along the way. Change at Brig for onward regional train connections to Montreux. Overnight stay in Montreux.
MONTREUX - GSTAAD - MONTREUX : GOLDENPASS
Travel on the GoldenPass Line from Montreux to the chalet town of Gstaad. Well known for its vast ski area the picture postcard winter sports resort is equally attractive to non skiers, with it beautiful panoramic setting amidst the pristine alpine
winter scenery. In the evening return to Montreux. Overnight stay in Montreux.
MONTREUX - BERN
In the morning take time to explore Montreux with its serene lakeside promenade , before transfer to Bern, Switzerland’s capital in the afternoon.
Bern is like stepping back in time, explore it’s cobbled streets and 15th century buildings. Overnight stay in Bern.
BERN - NEUCHATEL ** SIBERIA OF SWITZERLAND ** - BERN
In the morning transfer by train to Neuchâtel where you will find the mystical valley of La Brévinel where temperatures in winter have been known to drop to -40°C. Warm up with a short winter walking trail (approx. 3km) which passes many typical farmhouses and the lake, Lac des Tailleres. Return and overnight stay in Bern.
BERN - LUCERNE
Transfer to Lucerne by train and discover the old town and it’s famous Chapel Bridge. The snow capped winter panorama of the surrounding mountains is a magical sight. Overnight stay in Lucerne.
LUCERNE - DEPARTURE SWISS BORDER
Return trip by train from Lucerne to your final destination in Switzerland or extend your stay.
