ARRIVE – TAIPEI
Upon arrival at Taoyuan Airport, you will be welcomed and transfer to the hotel for check-in. Free at your own leisure for the rest of the day.
TAIPEI – MIAOLI – NANTOU
After breakfast, meet guide at the hotel lobby. Proceed to Nanzhuang Old Street: The town features many preserved architecture and natural surroundings. Here mostly resided by the Hakka people, filled with all kinds of Hakka and aboriginal snacks and delicacies. Visit Xitou Nature Education Area (include ticket), it lies in a valley surrounded by mountains on three sides; where the weather is consistently cool all year round. The highest mountain within the area even has an altitude of 2,025 meters. When the sky is clear, you could hike along the trail that leads you all the way to the astronomical observatory on top, where a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. Continue to Xitou Monster Village, a Japanese style village; a torii, a traditional Japanese gate most often found within a Shinto shrine, stands at the entrance of the village, symbolically marking the transition from the
profane to the sacred. Cute Japanese monster statues are all over this small village and red lanterns hang on the eaves, making it a brilliant place for photography. Restaurants and souvenir shops are named after different kind of Japanese monsters.
NANTOU – TAICHUNG
After breakfast, meet guide at the hotel. Proceed to Sun Moon Lake (include cable car), the largest lake in Taiwan. There is an island called “Guang Hua Island” in the middle of the lake. Northern part of the island looks like a sun, southern part looks like a moon, that’s why called Sun Moon Lake. Continue to Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village (include ticket), the culture village features aboriginal cultures, combining tourism, culture and educational functions. The culture village has made great efforts in updating the amusement facilities and services and has shown the vigorous spirits of the aboriginal tribes. At night, go for the night market at your free time.
TAINAN – TAOYUAN – YILAN
After breakfast, meet guide at the hotel. Proceed to Rainbow Village, the only place in Taiwan with lots of colorful graffiti, a street art in Taichung. Continue to Gloria Outlets which Taiwan’s first US-style outdoor outlet, there are still few brands with open doors at Gloria Outlets; there are many dining options for those needing a refueling after all that shopping. Japanese ramen, American fast food or Taiwanese street food, and much more is up for grabs. Transfer to Tangweigou Jiaoxi Hot Spring Park, designed green landscape with viewing pavilion, outdoor foot spa, and old-fashioned juniper spa.
YILAN – TAIPEI
After breakfast, meet guide at the hotel lobby. Proceed to Jimmy Park, a famous picture book creator in Taiwan, whose playful style presents deep and sobering stories. Many of Jimmy’s famous characters and scenes have been reproduced here, such as the most popular flying train from Starry Starry Night, statues of the lead characters pulling their luggage in Turn Left, Turn Right, and the famous giraffe at the rear of the train platform. Continue to Jiufen Old Street, to see the old-fashioned way of life that still
exist. With the aura of an old mining that is still apparent. Here you can also try some famous local dish as is Taro and Sweet Potato Ball etc. Then go to Shifen Station, the cradle of Sky Lantern, it's deeply touching the heart when watching Sky Lantern fly slowly into the sky with people's wishing and blessing. Transfer to 101 Xinyi Shopping District: The newest area of urban Taipei, the Xinyi shopping district is home to the famous Taipei 101, consist entertainment, shopping, and dining complexes.
TAIPEI – DEPARTURE
After breakfast at the hotel, free at leisure until time for transfer to Taoyuan Airport for your flight
departure.
